IP & FASHION BUSINESSES

Our experience of working with clients in this sector.

There is so much that we cover when we advise fashion companies. So it could be, for example, from the very start of the supply chain advising a fashion company and their legal team on the manufacturing side. So they might outsource the manufacturing of a specific product and so, therefore they need terms and conditions or they might ask us to review the manufacturers’ terms and conditions. Because we have acted for manufacturers before, and we have an experienced team with lots of experience in that area, we know what to look out for in these contracts and so when we are appointed by fashion brands to look at manufacturing agreements or to draft them, we look at the key provisions and the risks and determine what’s suitable and if anything else needs to be included in those types of agreements.

There are five key areas we advise our clients on when working with fashion retailers. This includes manufacturing or purchasing goods, advertising, selling, transportation, and storage. From a legal perspective, we review, draft, and negotiate agreements and terms and conditions on behalf of our clients to ensure our client’s position is the best it can be, that they are legally compliant and that each party’s rights and obligations are set out clearly from the outset.
