The addition of the 2 trainee trade mark attorneys is part of the firm’s plans for growth.

Brandsmiths has recently welcomed two new team members, Louise Francios and Lily Hilton-Allen, as Trainee Trade Mark Attorneys.

Their addition aligns with the expansion plans of the firm’s Trade Marks, Copyright & Design department.


Louise joins the firm as a French national with two legal degrees from the Center for International Intellectual Property Studies – CEIPI. She has a keen interest in brand protection, and previously worked in Tokyo carrying out legal research on Japanese intellectual property law as a legal intern. Her enthusiasm for IP and extensive knowledge in EU trade mark law makes them a fantastic fit for the team.

Lily comes to Brandsmiths with first-hand legal experience, having previously worked at Eversheds as a qualified CITMA Paralegal. With over two years of industry experience, her exceptional analytical skills, expertise in managing global trade mark portfolios, and proficiency in trade mark record management make her an invaluable addition to the firm.

Louise holds a master’s in IP from the esteemed Center for International Intellectual Property Studies in Strasbourg and has gained valuable experience in IP firms in both France and Japan.

Lily joins us after working as a trade mark paralegal at the global law firm Eversheds Sutherland, where she achieved the highest mark in last year’s CITMA paralegal course.

Their appointments are a direct result of the recent growth within the firm, and we look forward to supporting them as they progress towards full qualification and beyond.”
